Huma Adnan brings Pakistani Couture to Dallas with Her First U.S. Flagship Store

Huma Adnan brings Pakistani Couture to Dallas with Her First U.S. Flagship Store

On August 14, Huma Adnan, alongside her husband and creative counterpart Amir Adnan, officially opened the doors to their very first studio in the heart of Dallas, marking a pivotal milestone in their journey

A Visionary Designer With Heart

Since launching her first label, FnkAsia, in 2005, Huma Adnan has emerged as a visionary in Pakistani fashion, blending European bohemian flair with the country’s rich artisanal heritage. Born and raised in Karachi, she built FnkAsia into Pakistan’s first major fusion-wear brand, celebrated for its seamless marriage of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes. Two decades on, her creative empire now includes Huma Adnan Couture and Bridal, alongside Craft Stories, a socially conscious accessories brand that harnesses the talents of refugee artisans. Beyond design, she is committed to empowering women— particularly refugees—by providing dignified livelihoods, creative training, and sustainable employment through close collaboration with UNHCR, spanning communities from Afghanistan, Burma, Uzbekistan, and beyond.

Taking Pakistani Craft Global

Long before the Dallas studio became a reality, Huma Adnan was envisioning a global footprint. From the bustling atelier in Karachi to runways around the world, her work has earned acclaim for creativity, sustainability, and inclusivity.

And on August 14, she made history by opening her first U.S. flagship studio in Dallas, Texas. More than a retail space, the studio serves as a cultural bridge— a tangible expression of her dedication to showcasing Pakistani craftsmanship on the international stage

A Designer Embraced by Icons… and a Humanitarian Honored Globally

Huma Adnan’s designs have long captured the attention of icons and changemakers alike. From public figures and diplomats to cultural leaders across the globe, her work has transcended fashion to become a statement of purpose. Through Craft Stories, she collaborates with Afghan refugee women and artisans from Pakistan’s Ghizer Valley, transforming traditional craft into wearable art while creating meaningful livelihoods. Her handcrafted pieces have been showcased at the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and embraced by global advocates as symbols of resilience and empowerment. Leading Pakistani celebrities—from actors to musicians—have been spotted in her creations, championing her commitment to ethical design.

Over the years, Huma has trained more than 200 Afghan refugees, preserving indigenous craft while creating sustainable livelihoods that marry heritage with hope.

A Sanctuary of Craft That Breathes Stories Inside

Huma Adnan’s Dallas flagship—a fusion of gallery and sanctuary—heritage meets contemporary craft amid warm, earthy tones and carved wooden panels. Intricately designed displays evoke the spirit of Pakistan, guiding visitors through an immersive journey of culture and couture. Signature bridal ensembles—lehengas, saris, farshi shalwar, and pishwas—stand alongside handcrafted accessories from Craft Stories. Beaded necklaces, woven bangles, and delicate bracelets glimmer under soft lighting, each narrating the story of the artisan who brought it to life. Ready-to-wear pieces from FnkAsia hang gracefully, their silhouettes reflecting both traditional techniques and modern tailoring. The studio unfolds as a living atelier, a gallery of narratives where every garment and accessory honors the hands, heritage, and stories behind it.

A Star-Studded Launch in the Heart of Texas

On Thursday, Huma Adnan and Amir Adnan hosted an intimate, star-studded evening to celebrate the launch of their flagship studio in Dallas. Guests included media partners, local tastemakers, and members of the Pakistani diaspora, all coming together to honor this landmark moment. Coverage by Radio Azad and Tiny Treasures by KC captured the night in timeless photographs, preserving its elegance and energy. With friends, artists, and patrons in attendance, the studio became a stage where tradition, skill, and connection shone brightest.

With her Dallas debut, Adnan invites the city’s dynamic, multicultural audience to experience fashion as a force for social good. For the doyenne of Pakistani couture, the studio is another step in her vision of sharing Pakistan’s heritage, her artistry, and her commitment to ethical craftsmanship with the world
